Useful Profiles & Configuration Checklists

Test Profiles for Zumara and Run-Time Software

In the table below you will find test profiles for different protocol applications. Download 'Guide to Test Profiles' which contains very useful checklists & which, will take you through the configuration of each profile, in order to achieve basic simulation.

Protocol Profiles Description of Profiles Clarinet Interfaces Required
SIP SIP Profiles (ZIP) Profiles to makes PESQ measurement between 2 Zumara endpoints using g.711 or g.729 codecs.

Profiles to generate a call from Zumara endpoint 1 using a WAV file as RTP payload, which will be replayed through the PC host sound card via Zumara endpoint 2.
PC NIC or LAN Adapter
H.323 H.323 Profiles (ZIP) Profile to test through an H.323 to ISDN PRI Gateway using a g.729 or g.711 codec on the H.323 side. Run a PESQ measurement & replay a sample WAV file for an audible quality comparison. PC NIC or LAN Adapter
1 x Clarinet E1/T1 Pod
Q-SIG Q-SIG Profiles (ZIP) Profile to simulate 2 PBX's connected together. A PESQ measurement will be made between the 2 PBX's.
2 x Clarinet E1/T1 Pod
ISDN PRI ISDN PRI Profiles (ZIP) Profile to make PESQ measurements between 2 Clarinets, with 1 Clarinet acting as an NT (network) and the other Clarinet acting as a TE (terminal). 2 x Clarinet E1/T1 Pod
SS7 SS7 Profiles (ZIP) Profile to generate a call from 1 Clarinet acting as a signalling point to another Clarinet acting as another signalling point. A PESQ measurement will be made between the two signalling points.
2 x Clarinet E1/T1 Pod
SS7 MON SS7 Mon Profiles (ZIP) A monitor profile, pre-configured to analyse ITU ISUP signalling messages. 1 x Clarinet E1/T1 Pod

Profile and Operation Support

Profiles control all of the functions performed by Run-Time and Zumara software. If you experience a problem, please e-mail your profile (.acp file which can be found in the Cladata directory) to This will allow us to identify any errors and to modify or replace the profile for your convenience.
